Pasta Porto, Fore Street, Exeter SOLD

Pasta Porto, Fore Street, Exeter SOLD - 23rd June 2011

City centre restaurant in Exeter opening with a Thai theme

Jasmine Thai Restaurant will be opening at the end of June in the premises formerly occupied by Pasta Porto in Fore Street Exeter. The restaurant was sold by licensed property specialists Stonesmith of Exeter and has been bought by Golden Bush (UK) Ltd.

The new owner had been looking for the right property for a while and, after considering other areas, felt that Exeter was a vibrant City offering the potential for success. The premises were well laid out and offered the right number of covers, as well as being extremely well equipped. The property is also a bit like a Tardis, substantially bigger inside than perceived from the outside.

The restaurant is currently being restyled and refurbished and will hopefully re-open on the 30th of June. The seating has been designed so there are no “bad seats” and you can sit comfortably anywhere. The Jasmine Thai Restaurant will have a predominant Thai theme, but also offer a selection of Italian dishes and steaks, aiming to offer something for every taste. The business will also be run by experienced Thai staff, including the chef who has been in catering for over 21 year.

The property is situated in a prime trading location fronting Fore Street, close to the High Street and main shopping areas. Once open, Jasmine will provide a ground floor restaurant for approx 32 diners, with stairs up to an atrium dining area offering 24 covers and a restaurant with a further 32 covers. The property also provides a well fitted catering kitchen with a comprehensive array of equipment and a range of ancillary areas.

Stonesmith sold the lease on Pasta Porto off a guide price of offers in excess of £35,000.
